Cliffs before the heat
Start at Ponta da Piedade, walk the boardwalk, drop into Praia do Camilo if the stairs are quiet, then come back through town for lunch.
Slow afternoon
Old town without a plan
Walk the old walls, the fort and the tiled streets. Keep it loose: the point is a good square, a cold drink and time to drift.
Beach day
Go long at Meia Praia
Choose Meia Praia when everyone needs space. Take shade, walk as far as you like, and let the afternoon stay simple.
Boat day
Use the marina as base
Book a coast trip from the marina, then keep the rest of the day light. Breakfast there first makes the logistics painless.

Ponta da Piedade and Praia do Camilo are best before the day fills up. Save the old town for late afternoon into evening.
Footwear
Cliff paths want proper shoes.
The views are easy to reach, but stone, sand and stairs are friendlier when you are not in beach-only footwear.
Boats
Small trips change with sea state.
If caves or headland boats matter to the day, check conditions and book ahead rather than treating it as guaranteed.
